welcome in garlic braid tools scar pig snout untitled threat shower curtain neck lump |
![]() Materials: Plastic tubing, fishing wire, clay, wax, oatmeal, food coloring. I found out a few years ago that I had a cyst on my thyroid gland. A lump, increasing in size, began to take over the left side of my neck at the base of my throat. Being as young as I was, I felt horrified that I was losing control of my body -- and as interested in physicality as I was, I was very interested in exaggerating it into as devastating-looking a thing as it seemed to be in my mind. Giant, oversized, rotting thyroid glands gather in clutches around the neck region on this rubber tubing "spine," but don't stop there. [I have since had the lump (which was benign) surgically removed.] |
